Westchester Construction Updates: June 15, 2026
The Village of Westchester is embarking on several important construction projects starting on June 15, 2026. Residents are encouraged to stay informed as various roadworks and improvements will take place throughout the village.
2026 Water Mains & Street Reconstruction
- Stratford Ave: Tree removal and point repair will commence.
- Sunnyside Ave: From Windsor Dr. to Wakefield St., expect full street reconstruction following water main installation.
- Portsmouth Ave: From Gladstone St. to Roosevelt Rd., the street will be patched initially after the water main installation, with full paving expected in 2027.
2026 Street Resurfacing
Frame and grade sidewalk and curb work will take place with a concrete pour scheduled for 10:00 AM on:
- Stratford Ave from the cul-de-sac to Wakefield St.
- Wakefield St. from Stratford Ave to Sunnyside Ave.
2026 Alley Reconstruction
Concrete pours will begin at 7:00 AM for the following alleys, which will include shoulders and 8” pavement:
- Boeger to Highridge
- Highridge to Mandel
- Mandel to Evers
2026 Point Repair
Point repairs will be carried out in the Oxford alley as part of the maintenance efforts.
